It was a pleasure to be invited to work alongside Kier Group on this project for Crawley Council. 3D media solutions were commissioned to carry out a completed 4K high definition walk through tour of the civic centre and Crawley Town Hall before demolition of the building commenced. The main reason for this was to have a record for historical purposes for Crawley Council and the local heritage offices. This case study is a perfect example of how we can archive the visual aspect in a way that is far superior to traditional photography. We are currently working on various other historical sites for the very same reason.
What was interesting on this project was the way the team on site naturally utilised the imagery to help save valuable with other sub contractors that needed to visit site, enhancing their health and safety conversations and communicating the project throughout the company, and reducing site visits.
